Landmark Ornament - Stovall Mill Covered Bridge

Limited Edition Sixth in a Series.

This hidden gem is located near Sautee Nacoochee on the Chickamauga Creek.

The original bridge was built as part of a grist mill, saw mill and shingle mill belonging to Fred Dover. It washed away in the early 1890s. The property was sold to Fred Stovall Sr. who contracted with Will Pardue in 1895 to rebuild the present queen-post truss bridge. The bridge is the only part of the remaining mill complex that was washed away in.
